Is your battery hand control fully charged? Is there a red light showing on your battery hand control when you are pressing the up/down button?

Q2 How do I charge my battery hand control?
A

If already connected, separate the cable of the battery hand control from the bathlift (backrest) cable. If not connected, simply remove your battery hand control from the packaging. For safety reasons, please ensure that you do not charge your battery hand control in your bathroom. Connect the battery hand control cable to the charger cable by matching the flat part of the connections together. Insert the charger plug into the mains. Please leave your battery hand control to charge for approximately 12 hours when you first receive your bathlift. You cannot over charge your battery hand control. We recommend that you charge your battery hand control after every bath. If you wait more than one week between baths, we recommend that you charge your battery hand control before bathing. The LED indicator light will turn AMBER to let you know it is being charged.

Q5 If I leave my battery hand control on charge will I damage it?
A

No, charge your battery hand control for 12 hours when you first receive your bathlift. Then after every bath leave it on charge continuously. The indicator light will turn AMBER to indicate the charging process. A fully charged battery will provide approximately fifteen full lifts up and down. There is also a safety mechanism on the lift to ensure it will not go down unless there is enough charge to raise it back up. This will ensure you will not become stuck at the bottom of the bath. NB: Please do not worry if your battery charger becomes warm, this is normal.

Q6 How do I choose the reclining or fixed backrest position?
A

The AquaJoy Premier is a "2 in 1" bathlift and can be positioned in either the fixed backrest or reclining position. Normally, the OT or Technician will assess which is most suitable for the client. However, some households may have more than one person using the bathlift or want to take it in and out of the bath.

Simply place the bathlift in its folded position onto the flat part of a clean and dry bath. If you are going to choose the reclining position, please ensure there is sufficient space for the bathlift to fully recline. Lift the backrest back until it locks into its first position. This is the fixed backrest position. If the client wishes to select the reclining position, simply take hold of the backrest with one hand and with the other push the release button situated underneath the flap on the seat cover mat. This will release the backrest into the reclining position. They will hear it click and lock into place. NB The bathing position can only be selected when the Bathlift is in its lowered position at the bottom of the bath.

Q7 How do I take the bathlift out of the bath?
A

Press the "down" button on the handcontrol until the bathlift stops at its lowest position. Take hold of the two side flaps on the seat and fold them in over flat onto the seat. Press the release button (situated underneath the flap on the seat covermat), take hold of the backrest and fold the backrest flat onto the seat.

Place your hand under the back part of the frame to your right and lift. Continue to lift and all the suction feet will detach automatically. Place your other hand at the other side of the bathlift and lift. You can now store your bathlift away.

Q8 Do I have to take the bathlift out to be able to clean my bath?
A

No, because the frame is not enclosed at the base it is easy to clean around the frame using a shower head or damp cloth. You can use exactly the same household cleaners as you used before.

Q2 How do I charge my battery hand control?
A

If already connected, separate the cable of the battery hand control from the bathlift (backrest) cable. If not connected, simply remove your battery hand control from the packaging. Match the hand control connector to the charger connector together then insert the charger plug into the mains. Allow your hand control to charge for at least 12 hours before your first use.
The LED indicator on hand control will show an AMBER light when charging is in progress.
We recommend that you charge your hand control continuously when not in use, or at least for a few hours after each use as the hand control cannot be over charged.
If whilst using your hand control a RED light flashes, this is an indication that it requires immediate charge.
There is a safety mechanism on the hand control which prevents the lift from lowering if there is insufficient charge to raise the lift.
Do not allow your hand control to go weeks without charging (this may cause the batteries to lose their charge completely).

Empty the water from the bath press and hold the Down button to lower the bathlift to its lowest position. DISCONNECT THE HAND CONTROL! Fold the side flaps onto the seat and lift the seat section up, continue to lift the bathlift seat section until it is clear of the bathlift base.
